Cindy wanted to improve the aesthetics of her smile. She had a crossbite partly because of the overjet of her central incisors. She had gum recession, and abfractions, fractures at the gum line caused by excessive pressure to the teeth. She had also been unhappy with the appearance of her buccal corridor--the teeth on either side of her smile. It took 4 visits to correct Cindy's smile, but sedation dentistry helped make these visits comfortable. We covered the recession and moved the centrals back. We built out the buccal corridor. Cindy received 13 upper and 8 lower porcelain restorations.
