Sedation dentistry helped make these visits comfortable. First, TENS was used to relax her jaw muscles so a fixed orthotic could be designed to hold her jaw in a comfortable position. When the position was verified, she had porcelain restorations placed on all her teeth so that her teeth would help her maintain the comfortable, balanced position.
